I’m thrilled to share some exciting news! I’ve started running ceramic hand-building workshops. For a while now, people have been asking me if I teach pottery, and finally, the answer is yes. These sessions are more than just an opportunity to play with clay; they’re a space to slow down, create with your hands, and take home something uniquely yours.

What Will You Learn?
You will learn a range of hand-building techniques such as coiling, slab building, and pinching. You can create different items like vases, trinkets, soap dishes, plant pots, candle holders, and more. There is a large selection of inspirational materials, including images, forms, tools, and textures to make your work stand out. At the end of your session, your items will be fired. Around two weeks later, after firing, you can collect your fired, unglazed ceramic masterpiece.
Please note: This workshop includes one firing, and you will receive your creations in their unglazed form.
1. You Don’t Need Any Experience
Pottery is for everyone — not just the “naturally creative.” In my workshops, I’ll guide you step-by-step through hand-building techniques like coiling, pinching, and slab building. You’ll learn how to make vases, bowls, candle holders, plant pots, and other beautiful, functional pieces. No wheel-throwing skills are required — just an open mind and a willingness to explore.
2. It’s a Mindful Escape from Everyday Stress
Pottery is often described as “meditation with your hands.” As you shape clay, the noise of the outside world fades away. Your focus narrows to the texture, the movement, and the feel of creation. The slow, intentional process calms the mind, melts away stress, and lets you breathe a little deeper.
3. You’ll Feel the Joy of Making Something with Your Own Two Hands
In our digital lives, so much of what we “do” is invisible — emails, scrolling, swiping. Pottery brings you back to something tangible. You can see, touch, and shape your progress. And here’s the magic — about two weeks later, you’ll hold your fired, unglazed ceramic masterpiece in your hands.
4. It Teaches Patience — in the Best Way
Clay has its own rhythm. You can’t rush it, and that’s part of its beauty. Pottery teaches us patience — each piece is shaped with intention, fired with resilience, and emerges stronger, just like us.
5. You’ll Be Surrounded by a Warm, Welcoming Atmosphere
My workshops aren’t just about pottery — they’re about connection. Whether you come alone or with a friend, you’ll be in a friendly space filled with inspiration, laughter, and the quiet hum of creativity. It’s a break from the fast pace of daily life, and you might even make a new friend or two.
6. Everything is Included
All materials and tools are provided, so you can focus entirely on your creative journey. You won’t need to worry about bringing anything along. Just come ready to explore and express yourself through clay.
Why Choose Our Workshops?
Choosing to participate in a ceramic workshop is a wonderful decision. It’s not just about learning a new skill; it’s about nurturing your creativity. Each session is designed to inspire you and help you discover the joy of making.
